The flagship Canadian Tire brand includes general merchandise stores, gas stations, and financial services. Its iconic loyalty program began with paper coupons that resembled bankotes in 1958. Canadian Tire acquired the Norwegian clothing and textile company Helly Hansen from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in 2018 and sold it in 2025.
