Kuhusu Krone ya Denmark
The krone is the official currency of Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands, introduced on 1 January 1875. Both the ISO code "DKK" and currency sign "kr." are in common use; the former precedes the value, the latter in some contexts follows it. The currency is sometimes referred to as the Danish crown in English, since krone literally means crown. Krone coins have been minted in Denmark since the 17th century.
One krone is subdivided into 100 øre, the name øre is probably derived from the Latin word for gold. Altogether there are ten denominations of the krone, with the smallest being the 50 øre coin. Formerly there were more øre coins, but those were discontinued due to inflation.
The krone is pegged to the euro via the ERM II, the European Union's exchange rate mechanism. Adoption of the euro is favoured by some of the major political parties; however, a 2000 referendum on joining the Eurozone was defeated with 53.2% voting to maintain the krone and 46.8% voting to join the Eurozone. Ni sarafu kuu ya akiba duniani, inayotumika sana katika biashara ya kimataifa, bidhaa, na masoko ya fedha za kigeni. Mbali na Marekani, nchi kama Ecuador, El Salvador, na Zimbabwe pia hutumia dola ya Marekani kama sarafu yao rasmi.
Dola ya Marekani inapatikana kwa noti za dola 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 na 100. Kuna pia sarafu ya dola 1.
Dola moja ina senti 100. Senti huitwa pia "penny" nchini Marekani. Kuna sarafu za nusu dolar, robo dolar na sarafu za senti 10, 5 na 1.
Hadi mwaka 1969 noti ya dolar ya Marekani ilikuwa na ahadi ya kwamba serikali ya Marekani itampatia kila mtu dhahabu kulingana na thamani ya dola hizi akipenda kuzibadilisha.
Usawa huu na thamani ya dhahabu ulifutwa. Leo hii dola ya Marekani ni pesa ya kuiamini serikali kama pesa zote. Maana yake watumiaji husadiki ya kwamba serikali haitachapisha dola kushinda uwezo wa uchumi na thamani ya bidhaa zilizopo nchini Tanzania.
Tangu mwisho wa Vita Kuu ya Pili ya Dunia dola ya Marekani imekuwa pesa kuu duniani na sehemu kubwa ya biashara ya kimataifa hukadiriwa kwa dola hizo. Wikipedia
