Saregama India Ltd is an Indian record label. It was established in 1901 as the Indian division of the British Gramophone Company. It is subsequently India's oldest music record label company. It later became a division of EMI after they acquired the Gramophone Company in 1931. It used the His Master's Voice trademark across its releases. In 1985, EMI sold the company to RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. Despite this, it continued to use the His Master's Voice trademark until 2003, when the license agreement with EMI expired, it also released EMI's releases to the Indian market for a time. Saregama also produces films under the brand name Yoodlee Films and multi-language television content. Saregama also retails a music-based hardware platform called Carvaan. The company is listed on the NSE and the BSE with its head office located in Kolkata and other offices in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. Wikipedia
