Tata Steel Limited is an Indian multinational steel manufacturing company and a subsidiary of the Tata Group. Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company's primary production facilities are located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Formerly called Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited, Tata Steel ranked among the world’s fifty largest crude-steel producers in 2022–23, with an annual capacity of about 35 million tonnes.
